SummyTube was a web app that used artificial intelligence to automatically summarize YouTube videos. You pasted a video link and, within seconds, got a clear and concise summary of its content — a quick way to grasp the key points of a long video without watching all of it.
The project is now closed and no longer online.
What it did
- Instant summaries of any public YouTube video, starting from its link
- AI that understood the content and kept the meaning, not just the first lines
- A simple, responsive interface that worked from any device
- Easy sharing of a summary through a direct link
Stack
- Next.js and React for the web app, with server-side rendering
- Tailwind CSS for the interface
- Python on the backend, integrated with the AI models that generated the summaries
